Please take a look at my latest showreel. Put together at the end of 2015, it showcases some of my proudest moment across my sync and blue chip broadcast camerawork, along with some corporate and branded content.
Specialist Factual Cameraman
Based in South Wales and primarily working in adventure, travel and wildlife documentaries, I am an experienced cameraman working on projects accross the world and closer to home. I work across both Blue Chip and Sync programming, with a varied amount of experience both on long lens, and working with A List presenters. I have extensive experience across almost all genres of broadcast camerawork and I specialise in mountain and cold climates where I am at home on skis and ropes, and other remote or hazardous environments requiring awkward or technical access and movement. I have vast experience ranging from 5000m Above Sea Level down to 2KM deep underground and have worked under almost all climatic conditions across high altitude, desert, rainforest and sub-arctic environments.
With over 6 years of camera assisting and second operating. 2 years spent as a technician at leading facilities company ‘Films @ 59' , since stepping up to be an operator I have proved myself to be well suited to the areas of natural history, adventure and travel programming. I have extensive credits with a variety of major networks, broadcasters and indies including recent shows such as Planet Earth 2, The Hunt and Operation Gold Rush. At home in the expedition environment, and a keen adventure sports athlete, I am comfortable enough in any situation that I can focus 100% on getting the best possible shots using technology in the most creative ways and learned my skills with a camera over an extensive period camera assisting for some of the best names in the business. I am confident with all current broadcast formats and cameras from large format to minicams, including specialist technologies such as high speed, thermal imaging, PSC 3D, stabilisation and motion control. I regularly attend training courses to keep current with the most modern technologies. I hold 2 valid passports, a US I Visa, and am up to date with all vaccinations. I am a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, a member of the Guild of Television Cameramen and the International Association of Wildlife Filmmakers.
